SSH Setup via Proxmox Web UI

Quick Setup Method

Since password authentication is having issues, use the Proxmox Web UI Shell to add SSH keys directly.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Get Your Public SSH Key

cat ~/.ssh/sankofa_proxmox.pub

Copy the entire output (starts with ssh-ed25519 or ssh-rsa).

Step 2: Add Key to ML110-01

Log in to Proxmox Web UI: https://ml110-01.sankofa.nexus:8006
Navigate to Shell:
- Go to: Datacenter → Nodes → ML110-01 → Shell

Run these commands:

mkdir -p ~/.ssh
chmod 700 ~/.ssh
echo "YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY_HERE" >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys
chmod 600 ~/.ssh/authorized_keys

Replace YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY_HERE with the key from Step 1.

Step 3: Add Key to R630-01

Log in to Proxmox Web UI: https://r630-01.sankofa.nexus:8006
Navigate to Shell:
- Go to: Datacenter → Nodes → R630-01 → Shell
Run the same commands as Step 2.

Step 4: Verify SSH Access

ssh -i ~/.ssh/sankofa_proxmox root@192.168.11.10 'hostname'
ssh -i ~/.ssh/sankofa_proxmox root@192.168.11.11 'hostname'

Your Public Key

Your SSH public key is:

ssh-ed25519 AAAAC3NzaC1lZDI1NTE5AAAAIDVAs8muaMmImFP+EQ4YjBepx7Sz4zBrWjV2i6GtfS5i sankofa-proxmox

Copy this entire line and paste it into the echo command above.
